If you are buying a used book, consider that some books come from
homes with heavy smoking. You may want to check with the seller to
confirm the condition of the book. We have a friend who was very
disappointed many years ago with a very smoky book. Now she checks
before buying used college books online.
Be sure to double check the edition of the cheap used book you are buying.
Many professors specify a particular edition and using an old one
wont work. The older editions are often heavily discounted, so if the
professor accepts old editions you can save a lot of money.
